Celebrities opposes to build Theme Park in Palawan

January 10,2017 when the Philippines is blown away by the news that the American children’s television network Nickelodeon announced that it will build an underwater theme park in Coron, Palawan. It is known as the Philippines' last ecological frontier, alarming environmentalists.
The Philippine Conservation groups call Palawan "the last frontier" because of its pristine coastlines and forests, which are among the oldest and most diverse in Southeast Asia.
Lots of people are devastated because of the news even celebrities are shocked and are against the theme park plan in Palawan. Celebrities like Yeng Constantino, Andi Eigenmann, Jake Ejercito, and Dionne Monsanto took to social media to oppose a plan to build theme park and resort in Coron, Palawan.
Andi Eigenmann posted on her Facebook account that: “Let us not allow this to happen please. For our children and our children's children.”
According to Ron Johnson, an executive vice president with Viacom International Media Networks, which owns Nickelodeon, Palawan was chosen for the development because it "is known to have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world today."
It triggered some celebrities to oppose the theme park plan in Palawan. These celebrities uses the hashtag # CoronIsNotBikiniBottom.
